How renting works

Four steps from the first call to the first evening out.

  1. Tell us the trip

Your dates, where you are going, who is coming and whether you want the RV delivered.

Your part: Rough dates are fine.

  2. Get your quote

Talk it through with Freedom Rentals and get a quote for those dates.

Your part: Ask about seasonal offers.

  3. Book your dates

Confirm the dates, the rental and how it gets to you.

Your part: Ask anything you are unsure of.

  4. Stay out past sunset

Take the trip. The how-to videos cover the water, the tanks and the stove if you want a refresher.

    Your part: Enjoy the evening.

Hookups, tanks and the stove, shown on the RV

Freedom Rentals has short how-to videos for the jobs that come up at camp: the water hookup, the black tank, the stove, the dashboard switches and a battery that has gone flat.

In the heat. Summer in San Antonio runs hot. Park for afternoon shade where you can, run the air conditioning on shore power or a generator, and carry more water than you think you need.

Festivals and events. Going to a festival or an event? Check the venue’s RV rules and passes before you settle the dates.

All questions
What can I rent?

RVs, cars and a home. RVs rent short or long term, for vacations, camping, festivals and events. Cars and the home are rented too, including for longer stays.

How does RV delivery work?

Delivery is available. When you ask for a quote, share the site, your dates and how to get in, and ask what the drop-off includes and how the rental ends.

What does “hookups” mean?

Hookups are the connections at a campsite: electric (shore power), fresh water and often sewer. A site with all three is called full hookups. Without them, an RV runs on its own fresh water tank, holding tanks, battery and any generator it carries.

Are you open on Sundays?

No. Freedom Rentals is open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and closed Sunday, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
